Silky Conditioning

Commercial shampoos primarily contain harsh detergents and stripping synthetic surfactants, making conditioners necessary. While many of us find conditioners are unnecessary with Herbaria Shampoo bars, hard water is a reality for most of the country. The pH balance of the shampoo bars with our conditioner bars perfects this delicate dance of your water’s hardness and your hair's health and texture.

These bars work for all hair types because you can control how much or deeply you condition.

Good Basics

Our Conditioner bars soften and condition hair primarily with cocoa butter. Cocoa butter contains antioxidants and phytonutrients and has a creamy feel and chocolate aroma.  Cetearyl alcohol is derived from palm kernel oil Elaeis guineensis and/or coconut Cocos nucifera. Along with Behentrimonium methosulfate, derived from rapeseed oil (canola), these ingredients help oil and water mix, making hair detangle and soften. Castor oil is celebrated for its nourishing properties for hair and helps add to the slick texture of the bar. Jojoba and coconut oil help penetrate the hair shaft to deeply moisturize and protect it. Vitamin E supports a healthy scalp and encourages hair growth. Our conditioner bars are vegan, like all of our products.

Incredible Longevity

Our conditioner bars are a pleasure to use and long-lasting. Depending on the frequency of use, these bars will last many months when stored properly between uses.

Directions for Herbaria Conditioner Bars

1. Rub the bar liberally into soaking wet hair. Focus on ends and dry, damaged hair.
2. Massage and comb through with a big-tooth comb or your fingers to detangle. No lather will result, but a slick texture will be apparent. 
3. Leave in hair for 3-5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
4. Store in a cool, dry place between uses.

Note: Conditioner Bars can melt in a hot car or during shipment. If they’re softened, place the bar in its packaging directly into the fridge to harden. When firm again, it may be a bit grainy, but it will still work marvelously.

Multipurpose

Herbaria conditioner bars can serve many functions. They are silky and buttery for more than just hair. They can soften skin all over post-wash while still in the bath or be used as a shaving bar.

Scented or Unscented

Our unscented conditioner bar just holds the delicate chocolate smell of our cocoa butter. Our scented bar is tinted with indigo and has the complimentary blend of all our essential oil scents in our shampoo bar line.
