Glycerin Soaps and Products

Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is colorless, odorless, viscous, sweet-tasting and non-toxic. It is formed in all of our soaps during saponification, when the oils and lye combine. We value the retained glycerin. It is a humectant, which attracts and retains moisture from the air. Glycerin is used in many commercial moisturizers.

The blend of Australian tea tree (Melaleuca alternafolia) with kanuka (Kunzea ericoides) and manuka (Leptospermum scoparium), both from New Zealand, creates a pleasantly herbal aroma, somewhat reminiscent of leather. Tea tree oil is well recognized for its active role in skin care.
