Glycerin Soaps and Products

Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is colorless, odorless, viscous, sweet-tasting, and non-toxic. It forms in all of our soaps during saponification, when the oils and lye combine, and it makes up about 8% of every bar. We value the retained glycerin. It is a humectant, which attracts and retains moisture from the air. Glycerin is used in many commercial moisturizers.
